    Snake Show
“Care for Nature” Association from Uran organized the Snake show for Students of STD V-X on 31^st January 2011.
            They had brought along with them Snakes of various species to show to the Students.

Sarp-Mitra Raju Mumbaikar, Kishor Keni and Sudhir Mhatre gave information about the species which are non-poisonous and poisonous. 

Through their presentation they also removed some common myths which are prevalent in the society, for example, snakes drink milk, snake has a diamond on its head, snakes sway to the music, and snakes remember its enemy.           

They also emphasized that antidote for snake bites were available at all Government run Hospitals and they should go immediately in case of snake bite. 

Lecture by Dentist

Dr.Anjali Markale, Dentist by profession, was invited on 10^th February 2011, to give a lecture to the students of Primary section about the importance of oral hygiene and dental care. She made the students aware of the daily routine they should follow so as to have healthy teeth free of cavities and pain. She pointed out the importance of brushing teeth twice a day and also after eating sweet food like chocolates etc. 

    Staff Picnic

The staff of PRIA School went, for a one day picnic on 12^th February 2011, to Panaromic Resort, Panvel. The school had arranged for the transportation and lunch for the staff. It was a welcome change from the daily routine and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. 

    Participation in Prerna Jallosh         

Prerna Jallosh is a cultural program organized by PRIA in the month of January-February by PRIA. Various competitions like drawing, extempore, poem recitation, drama, solo singing, group singing, group dance, mismatch, healthy baby, are held as a part of this Jallosh.            

Our students participated in various competitions like drawing, solo singing, group song and group dance. Even the teachers participated with enthusiasm.

Felicitation of successful X STD students (30^th June 2010)

The School felicitated all the successful students of Std X with a gift. Shri.P.G.Mhapankar, Shri.P.N.Trivedi and Shri.K.R.Onkar were present on that occasion. They congratulated the students and also gave their best wishes for a bright future.

Ex-students of PRIA School who had done exceedingly well in the H.S.C board exams were also felicitated.

Annual Social Day (28^th December 2010):

The Annual Social Day was celebrated on 28^th December 2010 .

Students of Std Nursery –X presented various dance programmes. The theme of the annual day was

 “Save Nature, Save Earth, Save Environment to Sustain Life”. 

A huge crowd had gathered on the PRIA School ground to see the program. Each and every stage program carried a message, which was truly appreciated by everyone. Everyone also had words of praise for the disciplined way in which the entire Social day was presented. 

Refreshment was given to all the invitees, staff of the school. 

   
Republic Day celebration (26th January 2011) 

 62st Republic Day was celebrated with great pomp and show. 

 Headmistress Mrs.Madhu Shailendra and Shri.K.R.Onkar were the guest of onour.
 Headmistress hoisted the flag. They observed the parade. Students of STD III-IV     
 presented  a spectacular drill and mass PT.
Students expressed their views and also enumerated the importance of National festival     through their speeches.
Later, Shri.Onkar and the Headmistress gave their message to all the students on the    
occasion.
Sweet was distributed to all the students.
Annual prize distribution was also celebrated SSC toppers were felicitated  with cash prize from PRIA. The efforts and hard work put in by the students throughout the year in studies, sports and various other activities were rewarded on that day.

Chief guest on this occasion were Smt Vasudha Sahastrabudhe and Mr. and Mrs. Maru.

Subject toppers

Taluka level Science Exhibition (10^th-11^th December 2010)

            Taluka level Science Exhibition was held at Khopoli . 

Mast Atharv Galphade of STD VI secured the third prize and was qualified to represent the Khalapur Taluka at the District level.

The District level Exhibition was held at J.H.Ambani School,Lodhivali on 4^th-6^th January 2011.

            Khalapur team won third position in the Quiz competition. 

Parent-Teacher Association:

Meeting with parents was conducted in the school on 25^th June 2010 and Parent representative from each division of every standard was nominated.

First introductory meeting of the PTA was held on 05^th July 2010.Vice-President and Joint Secretary were elected on that day.

Lecture on First AidS

As a part of the “Occupational Health Week” celebration by the Reliance Industries Ltd,Patalganga a lecture on First Aid was organized for the students of STD VIII and IX on 9^th July 2010. Shri.J.T.Darekar and Shri.Rajat Debnath from the Reliance Industries presented a PowerPoint presentation. Many situations from the daily life were used to show the importance of First Aid in saving one’s life. 

World AIDS Day
A rally to spread awareness about AIDS was organized by “Ashray Charitable Trust”, Rasayani on 1^st December 2010.
Students of STD IX took part in that rally which passed through various small villages in Mohopada to spread awareness about AIDS. They distributed pamphlets which had necessary information about AIDS to all passer-by
