CELEBRATIONS AND FUNCTIONS 2018-19

  1. World Environment Day

The School celebrated that day on 5th June 2018 with planting saplings in the School premises. The School realizes that it is the need of the day to imbibe into the students, the importance of trees.

 

  1. International Yog Diwas

The way to Health, wellness and being fit begins with good nutrition and exercise. Exercise makes the body and mind more supple and energetic. Yog is an ancient form of exercise that involves correct breathing technique along with various asanas. It is a form that can be practiced by anyone young or old and with time can give a youthful experience. Students of PRIA School performed various yog postures on 21st June 2018 to commemorate the day.

 

  1. Felicitation function

The Students who had appeared for the SSC Exam March 2018 and have successfully passed out from the School were felicitated by the Management on 23rd June 2018.  The students were rewarded for their hard work put in and also for maintaining the 100% success run of the School.

 

The staff members celebrated the success with a lunch.

 

  1. Guru Pournima

Students took blessings from their guru on the occasion of guru pournima on 27th July 2018. Students expressed their views that the role played by a guru in their life is like a compass which shows them the right direction and prevents them from getting misled in life.

 

  1. Independence Day

The School celebrated the 72nd Independence Day on 15th August 2018. The guest of honor Shri K.R.Onkar accompanied the Headmistress for hoisting the flag. Patriotic songs and speeches were the highlights of the celebration.  The fact regarding what we have achieved in the past 71 years and what still remains to be achieved was also mentioned by the students in their speeches. Students also mentioned about the challenges faced by the nation today and what the students can do regarding it.

Shri.Onkar and Headmistress addressed the students and gave the message of unity and integrity.

Sweet was distributed to all the students later on.

 

  1. Gopalkala celebrations

Pre-Primary section witnessed a colourful celebration of Shri.Krishna Jayanti as Gopalkala celebrations. Students came dressed as Krishna and Radha. They danced merrily to the tunes of Janmashtmi songs and even broke a dahi-handi to symbolize the festivity of the occasion.

 

  1. Teachers Day celebration

        Teachers Day was celebrated on 05th September 2018. Students of STD X played the role of teachers and managed the activities of the School and the classes on that day. Students of STD X taught in the classes from STD I-IX.The Student Principal, Supervisor and time keeper were on their toes throughout the time to maintain the discipline in the School.

      Students had a fun filled experience of playing the role of teachers. Students also organized fun games for the teachers.

 

School Committee Chairman Shri.V.D.Paranjape was present for the celebration along with Shri. Gaikawad, Shri.K.R.Onkar and Shri.Puntambekar. The Management appreciated the tremendous efforts put in by the teaching staff irrespective of the numerous restrictions on them. The Management presented a token of appreciation to the entire staff of the School. Lunch was organized by the School.

 

  1. Ganesh Utsav

Ganesh utsav competitions were organized on 11th September 2018 which was the last working day before the Ganpati vacation. Various competitions like colouring, collage work, making wall hanging, clay modeling, painting the idol, extempore, storytelling, speech was held for students of STD Nursery-X.

 

  1. Navratri celebration

The festival of Navratri was celebrated on 17th October 2018. Students danced to the tunes of dandiyasong and had fun enjoying the function with class friends.

 

  1. Diwali celebration

The School will celebrate Diwali on the last working day of the Semester, 2nd November 2018. Various competition will be held for the students of class Nursery to VIII. Best art work from each section would be awarded a prize.

Management also provides a gift and lunch to the staff which is a part of the Diwali celebration.
